The Chapel Gallery opens in new premises

Some months back I was chatting with Tessa (Landsmith) after seeing a “To Let” sign by The Chapel Gallery in Brook Street. What was happening? Retirement? Selling up? But no. Fortunately for us, Tessa was moving her business across the road to a new location.

Having heard that the move was now complete I decided to pay a visit.

First mistake, I drove into Sparks Lane and into the first business unit on the right; a common mistake apparently.

With a redirection from someone on the site, I backed out and continued further down Sparks Lane. And this is what I found. It’s a business centre built about 4 years ago and its actually rather nice. There are three businesses located here. Barkers Garage is the largest, and then we have The Chapel Gallery, Pippin Cottage Upholstery, and Carlos Lopez and Son Furniture Restorations all to the right of the building.

As a director of REPOWERBalcombe, I was pleased to see that the roof of the building is covered in solar panels with a similar number on the other half of the roof. These, along with three Tesla Powerwalls, are delivering cheap renewable electricity to each business.
