The Victory Players: Balcombe’s Community Theatre

Home grown theatre, made in Balcombe

We are a local drama group, formed in 2004 after a community based production of “Oh! What A Lovely War” at the Victory Hall.

Victory Players’ members share a passion for creating theatre, and we come together when we can to produce plays, musicals, and less-traditional events — for the Balcombe community. We’d love to welcome new members; join us on Facebook and find out what we’re doing next.

With some outstanding talent, creative teams and dedicated people, we’ve been able to perform some truly varied productions, including major musical theatre like “My Fair Lady”, serious drama such as “A Man For All Seasons”, and popular comedies “Noises Off” and “The Importance of Being Earnest.”

The Victory Players also pop up with what we call ‘Small Victories’ such as our Murder Mystery dinner nights, and we have provided entertainment, and a Christmas for village events, including a wine tasting night and the Village Fete.

Our most recent productions were Murder at the Manor – a 1920s party and Murder Mystery night in the Victory Hall with characters – and guests – in beautiful costumes, straight from a mystery board game, full story and pictures in Sussex Express, and Shakespear-ience, a fun evening of Shakespeare-themed entertainment, and A Christmas Carol, street-theatre style, which raised £1,500 for local charities.
