Birchanger Gardens Open Days

Sunday 5th May in aid of the Balcombe WI

Saturday 11th May in aid of St Mary’s Church, Balcombe

Sunday 12th May in aid of St Catherine’s Hospice.

This beautiful garden is open for various charities and local groups in May (see dates above).   Birchanger on the High Street (B2110) two miles east of Handcross, is a truly delightful and remarkable garden offering breath-taking displays of azaleas, rhododendrons and camellias etc.  It is possible to spend the whole afternoon wandering round the gardens, admiring the various structures and features as well as the beautiful plants.  Information boards as you meander round give interesting facts about how the gardens have matured and events that have shaped them.
After the walk you can relax on the lovely lawn or in the sunroom where delicious home-made cakes and teas/coffee will be available.   The children will enjoy the afternoon just as much as the adults.

Entry is £5 per person; children 12 and under go free.  Dogs welcome on short leads.
