Balcombe 61 Club

Balcombe 61 Club

The Committee had its first meeting in May and agreed that if Boris Johnson removes all restrictions on June 21st, then WE WILL BE RE-OPENING THE 61 CLUB on Wednesday 23rd June. By now you should all have received a phone call telling you the good news from one of the Committee. If you know someone who is completely fed up with being unable to meet up with friends over the past year, please bring them along with you. Our first meeting will be a Social with cakes and tea/coffee and maybe a game of Bingo (don’t forget to bring some cash/coins).  Come along and catch up with old friends and find out how everyone has coped with the various lockdowns, etc. There is no need for face masks … unless you would feel happier wearing one. We are so used to wearing them now that it may seem strange when we can finally cast them off.

As 2021 is our Diamond Anniversary (60 years) we are hoping to have a celebration to mark the event later in the year; more news coming soon.  Christine Clark and Penny Talman have kindly offered to take on the task of planning the Programme for the rest of 2021, so if you have any ideas, requests, offers of help, etc., please have your ideas ready for them. We look forward to seeing you all on 23rd June.

New Members

The 61 Club was formed in 1961  (hence the name) and has a diverse age range, so if you think the 61 Club could be for you, please come along and see what we are all about. We meet in the Parish Room at 2.15pm on the 2nd and 4th Wednesdays of each month.

Request for help

Are there any kind people out there that could help us put out the tables and chairs ready for our meetings on the 2nd and 4th Wednesdays of each month? We can’t get access into the Parish Room until 1.45pm and it is always a rush.  We would be extremely grateful for any help.
